A WOMAN who survived cancer and a devastating motorcycle crash was killed by a car last Sunday, during her first walk outdoors since her accident six months ago.
Sally Ann Okuly, 59, was hit by a car as she crossed a Virginia, US, street to her favourite convenience store.
Okuly, a mother-of-two, had right of way when she was struck by driver Amanda Styles-Mays, 24.
Okuly died from her injuries the following morning.
Styles-Mays has been charged with failure to yield to a pedestrian and reckless driving.
"One of her favorite things to do was to walk over across that street to the Wawa gas station,"  Okuly's husband, Bill Okuly, said.
"She's the most giving person ever."
The couple - who were members of the Rolling Thunder motorcycle club - was set to celebrate their 41st anniversary last Monday.
