A storm could bring a month’s worth of rain on Wednesday

There are two things you won’t have to hear on Thursday.
One is “I’m hungry.”
The other is: “We’re in a drought.”
The National Weather Service says that a storm coming up from the Gulf of Mexico that will begin to be felt here tonight is packing strong winds and heavy rain, and even the potential for some light snow.

  POSSIBLY A FEW TREES...CAUSING PROPERTY DAMAGE AND POWER

A WIND ADVISORY IS ISSUED WHEN SUSTAINED WINDS OF 31 TO 39 MPH...
OR GUSTS OF 46 TO 57 MPH...ARE EXPECTED OR OCCURRING. WINDS THIS
STRONG CAN MAKE DRIVING DIFFICULT...ESPECIALLY FOR HIGH PROFILE
VEHICLES. USE EXTRA CAUTION.
RAIN WILL BE HEAVY AT TIMES TUESDAY NIGHT AND INTO WEDNESDAY WITH POS-SIBLE FLOODING OF URBAN AREAS AS WELL AS SMALL STREAMS AND RIVERS.
