Police hunt for prisoner who escaped from Mandurah rec centre

POLICE are searching for a prisoner who escaped while on an approved prison excursion last night.
Shane Phillip Winmar, 42, was last seen at the Mandurah Indoor Sports Centre on Dower Street, Mandurah, about 7pm last night.
He was there as part of an approved prison activity.
Winmar is described as dark skinned, 175cm tall, medium build and with dark, short hair and a rat's tail.
He was last seen wearing green prison tracksuit pants and a blue tank top.
However, police say it is possible he has since changed his clothes.
Police warn the public Winmar is considered unpredictable and people are advised to not approach him.

If anyone knows of his whereabouts, call police immediately on 131 444.
