HE'S the President of the United States. In movie terms, he's basically the most powerful person in the universe. But even Barack Obama can't get his hands on an iPhone.
Obama has been banned from owning an Apple iPhone by the White House staff for "security reasons", he admitted in a speech to a youth audience.
The iPhone does not meet the appropriate levels of security, leaving the President to use his trusty BlackBerry, which he had to famously fight to keep using when he took charge in 2009. However, it is claimed he can have an iPad for personal use.
Despite being social media savvy and often Tweeting he's currently using a previous generation of BlackBerry with bolstered security settings.
Don't feel too bad for poor Obama though, as even if he was able to have any phone he wanted his contacts are unlikely to be sending anything exciting. He revealed in 2010: "I've got to admit, it's no fun because they think that it's probably going to be subject to the presidential records act, so nobody wants to send me the juicy stuff."
