A MAN lay dead in his house on the Gold Coast for four days before his body was discovered.
The man, believed to be aged in his 60s, was found dead in his Labrador home on Tuesday after neighbours noticed his mail piling up in the letterbox.
He is believed to have died some time last Friday.
Police arrived at the Harris St property on Tuesday to find his body.
Four days worth of newspapers were found outside the house.
Police said the man lived alone and there did not appear to be any suspicious circumstances.
They said it was a timely reminder to people to check on elderly neighbours.
