IT never reports negative news about its people, about incidents or physical attacks.
But the highly controlled official Korean Central News Agency has just made an exception, so the negative incident must be extremely serious.

KCNA reported that a “serious” accident occurred in Phyongchon district last Tuesday “as the construction of an apartment house was not done properly and officials supervised and controlled it in an irresponsible manner.”
The “irresponsible manner” of supervising and controlling the incident meant that the rescue operation only ended yesterday.
There is no mention of anyone dying but officials apologised to bereaved families and district residents suggesting there were many deaths.
